Industrial truck manufacturing has been an active part of the US economy for more than 100 years. Forklifts and powered industrial trucks are integrated througout almost every good producing and consumer product industry--streamlining efficiency and productivity. Industrial truck manufacturing, distribution and dealers have an economic contribution of almost $26 billion, which support nearly 209,600 jobs in the US. This in turn has generated about $5.3 billion in federal, state, and local taxes.
