Lee has over 20 years experience in researching and forecasting Australian property markets, particularly in non-residential sectors. He is responsible for managing and producing a number of subscription services across Australia’s commercial property markets.

Lee’s current focus is on the Sydney and Perth office property markets, as well as prospects for the Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane industrial property markets. Lee also contributes to consulting work, including the financial evaluation of commercial development, the economic impact of major projects and strategic employment studies.

Michael Dyer is an Economist in the Building and Construction forecasting unit of Oxford Economics Australia. Working to support the team, Michael is involved in the provision of forecasts across the full building spectrum.

Michael – based in Sydney, Australia – is our Head of APAC Tourism Analysis, working on a combination of subscription products and bespoke consulting projects. Michael contributes to forecasts for travel flows in APAC, analysis trends and developments in the region, and presents our most recent outlook at events and webinars. 

Having worked with Oxford Economics for four years, including in the Oxford and Frankfurt offices, Michael has delivered a variety of projects for clients. These include economic impact analysis for attractions, events and sub-sectors of the tourism industry, custom forecasts and scenarios, and the impact of policies on tourism demand. Prior to joining Tourism Economics, Michael worked at the Reserve Bank of Australia for seven years.  

Dr Nicholas Fearnley is the Head of Global Construction Forecasting, based in Sydney. Nicholas oversees the teams that produce the various construction, mining, and maintenance studies. He works over the full construction spectrum, and regularly presents and provides commentary for both the construction and mining industries.

Nicholas joined Oxford Economics in 2019 after working at Macromontor, where he was responsible for producing regular Australian building construction forecast reports, and bespoke cost escalation and material demand forecasts.

Prior to joining Macromonitor, Nicholas completed a PhD at the University of Sydney with a thesis titled: “A Critical and Quantitative Analysis of the Relationship between Informal Institutions and Economic Development.” He was awarded the Walter Noel Gillies Prize for best PhD thesis in Economics, and his thesis was accepted without edits.

Nicholas has undergraduate degrees in both Accounting and Applied Finance from Macquarie University, and a first class honours degree in Accounting from the University of Sydney with a thesis titled: “Culture and the Measurement Decision Offered by Investment Property”.

Nicholas heads up the Account Management team in Sydney for the ANZ region, having joined BIS Oxford Economics as an Account Manager in August 2019 after 7 years with Gartner companies across the world.

Nicholas's career in Sales began in 2012 with CEB (a Gartner company) and has allowed him to work with C-suite executives across multiple functions, industries and countries (San Fransisco, USA and Stockholm, Sweden).

Senior market research and data insights professional with 30 years of experience across quantitative and qualitative studies, ad-hoc and multi-client projects. Extensive experience in strategic management of large end to end projects and client relationships across B2B, consumer, government & industry.

Raul is a Senior Economist within the Oxford Economics’ Economic Impact team. Prior to joining BIS Oxford Economics, Raul was an Analyst with the Antitrust practice of NERA Economic Consulting.

He has ample experience providing detailed econometric analysis to public and private sector clients, and his modelling has been used in diverse fields such as communications and internet, financial services, I.T., radio spectrum auctions, and regulatory economics.

Raul holds a B.A. in Political Science from ITAM University, Mexico and a Master of Economics from the University of Sydney, Australia.

Rehan has been leading the new business development team for Australia and New Zealand since 2019. He has over 10 years of experience in business information/intelligence services working across Finance, Government, Tourism, Consumer Goods & Services, Property, Logistics & Professional Services.

Prior to joining Oxford Economics, Rehan spent 7 years with Euromonitor International where he was a business development manager and later leading the new business development team for Australia & New Zealand

Ronal is responsible for the delivery of bespoke macroeconomic and commercial due diligence projects. He has experience in analysing and forecasting land registry volumes, port trade, property markets and construction in Australia's transport, utilities and mining sectors. He previously managed various industry reports, including commercial and residential property reports and various infrastructure subscription products. Ronal has a strong interest in presenting ideas and stories through visualisations and analysing large and complex data sets.

Ruchira joined BIS Oxford Economics in 2019, in macroeconomic consulting. Ruchira has worked on several buy side and sell side Due Diligence projects for assets spanning energy, transport, and real-estate. Additionally, Ruchira leads our climate change consulting team in Australasia.

Ruchira also has experience in the energy sector, working on several gas and electricity outlook reports for the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO), leading the development of industrial sector demand forecasts including regularly interviewing energy intensive industrial users of gas and electricity; producing retail gas price forecasts and conducting scenario setting consultation with industry.

Ruchira is also well versed with operating our Global Economic Model (GEM) to produce scenario forecasts.

Ryan is an Economic Analyst currently responsible for supporting the production of the Asian Construction Service. He has experience in econometric modelling and consulting and holds a Bachelor's degree in Commerce and Economics (Honours), majoring in econometrics and finance.

Sarah is currently a graduate economist in the Building Forecasting team on the subscriptions side of the business. In this role, she assists the team in providing comprehensive economic analysis and forecasts on residential and non-residential building activity in Australia.

She has completed her Bachelor of Economics at the University of Technology Sydney and a masters degree in Applied Economics at Macquarie University.

Sean Langcake is Head of Macroeconomic Forecasting at Oxford Economics Australia where he is responsible for macro forecasting and analytical content. Sean is a regular contributor in the national media on Australian and global economic trends and policy issues.

Prior to joining Oxford Economics, Sean worked in a wide variety of roles at the Reserve Bank of Australia, largely focussing on forecasting and macroeconomic modelling. Sean holds a Masters Degree in Economics from the University of New South Wales, as well as a first class Honours degree in Economics and a Bachelor of International Studies from the University of Adelaide.

With an MBA degree, majoring in Human Resources, Shaima Salamat possesses a solid foundation in HR practices and strategies. As an HR Talent Coordinator, she understands the importance of building strong teams and fostering a culture of growth and inclusivity. She is passionate about identifying and nurturing top talent, ensuring that the company continues to attract the best individuals in the industry.

In addition to her HR proficiency, Shaima has also worked extensively in the finance domain. She plays a vital role in keeping financial operations running smoothly.

Sophia Sultanova is an Economist in the Global Construction Team at Oxford Economics. She contributes to the various global construction services with a focus on transportation infrastructure. Sophia has experience in economic modelling and holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Macquarie University.

Suzan holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration from the Faculty of Foreign Trade Egypt. With more than 40 years of progressive, comprehensive experience as an accounting professional Suzan has a demonstrated ability to effectively plan, coordinate and meet deadlines of multiple projects.

Suzan has extensive knowledge of accounting procedures, concepts and reporting. Her broad-based analytical skills cover most aspects of accounting, administration and corporate matters.

Tom has two years of experience in economic consulting, focusing on providing insightful research and quantitative solutions that are communicated clearly and effectively to all stakeholders with strategic interests across Europe, the Middle East and Australia. He has experience in cost escalation, macroeconomic analysis and forecasts, the housing market and producing reports for various subscription services.

Timothy Hibbert leads the property, building, and demographic forecasting at BIS Oxford Economics. He has over 15 years of experience as an industry economist, working across government, consultancy, and subscription services.
