Beyond the Tipping Point: Australia’s Living Sector Enters the Mainstream

27 August 2026 – 11.00am AEST (Sydney)
online

Australia’s living sectors have moved decisively into the institutional mainstream, with new supply to run at double the rate of recent years.

Build-to-rent has reached an inflection point, with an operational base now large enough to generate meaningful performance benchmarks and attract offshore capital at scale. Land lease communities continue to reshape the retirement living landscape, drawing on chronic undersupply of age-appropriate housing and the wealth-releasing appeal for downsizing owner-occupiers.

Purpose-built student accommodation remains a high-conviction asset class, underpinned by the structural recovery in international enrolments and persistent shortfalls in university-owned supply.
