Jeremy Leonard is responsible for overseeing the work of the industry forecasting team and managing the operation and output of Oxford Economics’ Global Industry Model as well as related consultancy work.

Jeremy’s knowledge and past experience span a broad range, including competitiveness and offshoring/reshoring, commodity price modelling, and applied economic research on sectors ranging from biotech to heavy manufacturing to telecoms. In addition to numerous recurring bespoke sales and output forecasts for industries as diverse as machine tools and consumer packaging, recent consulting assignments have included the drivers of competitiveness in the chemical sector, forward-looking analyses of high-growth sectors across a range of emerging economies, and the ways in which digital technologies are transforming economic activity across manufacturing and service sectors.

Prior to joining Oxford Economics, Jeremy ran his own consulting firm based in Montreal, Canada providing a variety of economic analysis and forecasting services related to commodity prices, competitiveness, and the Canadian and US economic outlooks for the Washington, DC-based Manufacturers Alliance for Productivity and Innovation, as well as serving as economic research director for the Montreal-based Institute for Research on Public Policy.

Born and raised in Washington, DC, Jeremy was educated at the University of Pennsylvania and McGill University, where he received his MA in Economics summa cum laude. He also speaks fluent French.

Jessie joined Oxford Economics after graduating with a first-class honours degree in Economics from the University of Exeter along with industry experience. After completing her placement year at the Department for Work and Pensions, specialising in Universal Credit strategy around children, Jessie also rebranded the Government economics schools outreach programme, improving the diversity of students studying economics in further education.

Johanna Neuhoff is Associate Director for economic consulting services in Continental Europe. She is an expert evaluating the impact of policy changes, in forecasting and scenario building as well as in economic impact assessment. Her extensive knowledge in the real estate, housing, mobility/transport, and green economy sector helped her in leading several complex and international consulting projects for public and private clients such as the Ministry of Justice and consumer protection (BMJV), the Ministry of Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU), Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI), German Music Industry Association (BVMI), Association of the German Automobile Industry (VDA) and the Association of private building societies (Verband der Privaten Bausparkassen e.V.).

Prior to Oxford Economics, Johanna Neuhoff worked at DIW Econ, the consultancy firm of the German Institute for Economic Research, at GESI Gesellschaft für Systeminnovation mbH – a consultancy firm focused on green transformation projects in the field of mobility – and empirica ag – one of the leading German research and consultancy institute for urban and regional economics. Johanna Neuhoff holds a Diploma with a focus on social and political sciences in Economics from the University of Potsdam, Germany, and a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Milwaukee-Wisconsin, USA, - both degrees with special distinction.

John Canavan is the Lead Financial Market Analyst in the Oxford Economics' Macroeconomic and Investor Services group. In that role, he is responsible for the regular coverage of the financial market outlook, focusing on sovereign debt markets. John is also responsible for the weekly SMRA/OE Portfolio Manager Survey, which has been gauging the outlook of fixed-income portfolio managers since 1991.

Prior to working at Oxford Economics, John was the Lead Market Analyst at Stone & McCarthy Research Associates for more than 25 years and worked at Merrill Lynch before that.

John Payne is a Senior Economist in the EMEA Macroeconomic Consultancy division. He has experience working across a diverse range of consultancy projects including bespoke model development and government advisory focused in the Middle East.

John is currently the macroeconomic forecaster for countries in the MENA region including Bahrain, Iran and Jordan. He has previous experience as the global forecast coordinator for the company, where he was responsible for ensuring consistency in the monthly Oxford Economics' macroeconomic forecasts.

John has been at Oxford Economics for 5 years following an industrial placement year and he has recently completed an MSc in Economics at the University of Manchester.

John Walker is Chairman of Oxford Economics, which he founded in 1981.

From 1973 to 1977, John worked in the UK Treasury, where he became an economic adviser in the short-term forecasting division. He then worked for the consultancy arm of The Economist Newspaper, before becoming a Special Adviser to the EEC Commission in Brussels in 1980, where he was co-ordinator of forecasts for all the EEC countries and related forecasts for the US and Japan.

John returned to the UK in 1983 to work full-time for Oxford Economic Forecasting. He has headed Oxford's move into international forecasting, developing strong links with economists around the world and co-ordinating the development of the PC versions of the Oxford models that are now widely used in the UK and the rest of the world. As well as being a much-respected commentator on global economic prospects, John leads major consultancy projects with government departments and multinational companies from Europe and the United States on issues ranging from international capital flows to developments in the Middle East economies.

Kerry graduated in 2002 with a degree in Economics from the University of Ulster, Jordanstown. She later obtained an MSc in Applied Economics from the University of Ulster in 2008.

Kiki is a macroeconomist in the Global Macro team in London. She is responsible for producing macro research at a global level and managing the global macro forecast round. Previously Kiki worked on the Global Industry team, generating forecasts and providing narratives for the transportation and logistics sector. She was also engaged in various consultancy projects and industry research.

Prior to joining Oxford Economics in 2021, Kiki worked at the company in 2016 as part of her industrial placement year. During her 13-month internship, Kiki was responsible for macroeconomic forecasts for several countries and industry forecasts for the intermediate goods sector.

Kiki holds an MSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a BSc in Economics with Industrial Experience from the University of Exeter.

Laura has over six years’ of experience in transaction advisory, providing investment-grade traffic and revenue analysis to support the delivery of privately financed transport assets. During this period, Laura has developed a detailed understanding of key drivers of demand and revenue, importantly, the long-term impacts of consumer decisions or business decisions through the implementation of rigorous scenario analysis.

She has a strong track record in providing business plan advice and economic evaluation of infrastructure, on projects that involve both public and private sector financing. In addition, because of the changes that the mobility sector is currently experiencing, she has developed an expert knowledge of micro-mobility services that now enhance the transportation offered in urban areas.

Prior to joining Oxford Economics, she worked for Vivid Economics and spent four years working as a Traffic & Revenue expert in Globalvia. In these roles, she focused on conducting commercial due diligence assignments – assessing potential revenues, policy aspirations, market drivers and risk allocations.

Prior to joining Oxford Economics in 2009, Lloyd worked as a Principal Researcher in the Financial Stability Department of Canada’s central bank. He has also previously worked as a Senior Economist at the UK’s Financial Services Authority, as well as the economics practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers. Lloyd holds degrees in Economics from the Universities of Cambridge and Warwick.

Lloyd China is a Senior Economist of Oxford Economics' Asia-Pacific Global Macro Services team. He is responsible for conducting macroeconomic research and forecasting with a focus on Northeast Asia, including South Korea, mainland China and Hong Kong.

Prior to joining Oxford Economics in 2019, Lloyd spent three years at United Overseas Bank (UOB) in Singapore, conducting industry research for senior management and working on Environmental and Social Governance in the Group Risk Management division. Before joining UOB, he worked as an economist at BMI Research, also in Singapore, conducting macroeconomic research on Southeast Asian economies. Lloyd holds a double bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Management from the Singapore Management University, where he graduated with a Summa Cum Laude.
