Oxford Economics launches AskOE Business Foresight
When growth slows or markets shift, businesses feel the impact. What’s harder is knowing how much, how fast, and what to do next. Oxford Economics has launched AskOEAI Business Foresight, a new AI agent designed to help organisations connect economic change directly to their revenue and build business forecasts they can defend.
“Businesses already understand that the economy affects their performance. The challenge is quantifying those impacts quickly and reliably, particularly as conditions change. Business Foresight combines our economic intelligence and expertise with AI to help clients understand what those changes could mean for their revenue and build business forecasts they can defend,” said Marcos Casarin, Corporate Advisory Lead.
Purpose-built by Oxford Economics’ economists and technology team, Business Foresight identifies the markets and economic indicators most closely linked to a company’s historical performance. It combines these drivers into a tailored demand signal before testing different forecasting approaches to identify the method that best fits the business.
The entire process is conversational. Users can adjust assumptions, market exposures and indicators through natural language as they go, without the need for specialist modelling skills.
Unlike general-purpose LLM tools, Business Foresight draws on Oxford Economics’ proprietary economic intelligence and uses mapping logic and forecasting approaches developed by its economists. Key assumptions, indicators and model choices are documented, giving users visibility into how their forecast was built.
Bringing economic intelligence closer to decisions
Business Foresight is the latest addition to Oxford Economics’ growing suite of AI capabilities. Since launching AskOEAI in 2024, Oxford Economics has continued to expand how clients can access and apply its economic intelligence. This includes purpose-built AI agents such as AskOEAI Executive Lens, as well as Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations that enable clients to bring Oxford Economics’ intelligence into the AI tools and workflows they already use.
Together, these capabilities reflect a broader strategy to combine Oxford Economics’ proprietary data, forecasts and economist expertise with AI and technology, unlocking trusted economic intelligence at the point or decision making.
“The opportunity for us is not simply to use AI to deliver information faster. It is to use technology to unlock more value from the economic intelligence and expertise we have built over decades. Business Foresight is a good example of that strategy, enabling clients to apply that intelligence directly to their own business forecasts,” said Innes McFee, CEO of Oxford Economics.
AskOEAI Business Foresight is now available. Organisations interested in exploring the capability can request a demo today.
