Oxford Alpine One: A New Era of Integrated Economic and Investment Intelligence for Institutional Investors
MONTREAL / OXFORD, August 17, 2026 — Alpine Macro and Oxford Economics today announced the launch of their institutional investment research platform, Oxford Alpine One– One Platform. Better Decisions.
Oxford Alpine One combines Oxford Economics’ global economic intelligence, forecasting capabilities, and extensive research resources with Alpine Macro’s independent investment strategy expertise across asset allocation, equities, fixed income, currencies, emerging markets, and thematic opportunities.
The platform is supported by a global team of more than 40 relationship professionals dedicated to helping institutional clients maximize the value of their research partnership, backed by 450+ economists, strategists, and analysts across 20+ offices worldwide.
As institutional investors navigate an increasingly complex global environment marked by shifting economic regimes, geopolitical fragmentation, evolving market dynamics, and technological disruption, the need for integrated insights that connect macroeconomic developments with portfolio decisions has never been greater.
Through Oxford Alpine One, investors gain access to a comprehensive AI powered research platform designed to help them better understand the forces shaping markets, identify opportunities, manage risk, and make more informed investment decisions.
As part of Alpine Macro’s continued investment in its research capabilities, the firm is pleased to announce the launch of its Multi-Asset Strategy (MAS) Service, led by Javier Corominas, Chief Multi-Asset Strategist.
The addition of the MAS team strengthens Alpine Macro’s ability to provide institutional investors with strategic and tactical asset allocation insights across global asset classes, countries, and sectors. The service combines fundamental macroeconomic analysis with proprietary quantitative frameworks to help investors navigate changing market environments and build more resilient portfolios.
Key areas of focus include:
- Tactical Asset Allocation (6–12 months): Identifying opportunities and risks across global markets through the integration of macroeconomic analysis and proprietary multi-asset models.
- Strategic Asset Allocation (5+ years): Providing long-term portfolio insights, including capital market assumptions, expected returns, volatility forecasts, and macro-driven risk scenarios.
- Total Portfolio Approach (TPA): A proprietary risk-factor framework designed to evaluate portfolio exposures and resilience across different macroeconomic regimes.
Javier Corominas joins Alpine Macro from Oxford Economics, where he served as Director of Global Macro Strategy, leading global asset allocation views and strategic and tactical investment research. Prior to Oxford Economics, Javier spent more than a decade at Record Financial Group, where he served as Head of Research and later as an FX and Rates Portfolio Manager.
Javier will be supported by strategists Tianchen Peng and Cassidy Ainsworth-Grace, who will contribute to quantitative research, thematic analysis, and portfolio construction.
Alpine Macro is also pleased to announce that Sergi Lanau will be joining the firm to deepen its Emerging Markets research capabilities.
Sergi brings more than 15 years of global macroeconomic and emerging markets experience. He joins Alpine Macro from Oxford Economics, where he served as Director of Global Emerging Markets Strategy. Previously, Sergi was Deputy Chief Economist at the Institute of International Finance, where he co-managed research covering more than 40 emerging and frontier markets. Earlier in his career, he spent eight years at the International Monetary Fund, focusing on global macroeconomic analysis, sovereign risks, and emerging market vulnerabilities. He also worked in the International Finance Division at the Bank of England.
