The Global Economic Impact of Branded Merchandise

A study commissioned by PPAI

The branded merchandise industry operates on a truly global scale, connecting manufacturers, suppliers, decorators, distributors, retailers, e-commerce platforms, agencies, and activation partners to enable the production, decoration, and delivery of branded merchandise products to businesses and consumers worldwide.

In 2025, the branded merchandise industry supported a $472 billion contribution to global GDP, supporting economic activity across the globe. This economic activity supported the employment of 11.9 million jobs and supported a $141 billion contribution to global tax revenues.
