    Innes McFee is the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Economist of Oxford Economics, based in London. Innes is responsible for coordinating and managing Oxford Economics’ global economic analysis, forecasting and consultancy activities, and overseeing its global team of over 700 professionals including over 450 economists and analysts.  Innes has worked in the Macroeconomic Consulting and the Macro & Investor Services teams since joining Oxford Economics in 2017. Most recently he has led the growth in Oxford Economics’ subscription business writing and presenting to clients globally on macroeconomic, investment strategy and real estate issues.

    Innes joined Oxford Economics after 6 years at Lloyds Banking Group as a Senior Economist, where he was responsible forecasts and analysis of the UK and international economy. Prior to joining Lloyds Innes was an Economic Advisor at HM Treasury. Innes has a first-class undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Durham and an MSc in Economics from Warwick University.

    Chen Zhao is the Chief Global Strategist of Alpine Macro. From 2015 to 2016, he was Co-Director of Macro Research at Brandywine Global Investment Management. Prior to Brandywine Global, Chen spent 23 years at BCA Research as Partner, Managing Editor and Chief Global Strategist. Chen developed and wrote BCA’s China and Emerging Markets publications in the 1990s. Chen became the firm’s Chief Global Strategist in the 2000s and was the author of BCA’s flagship publication, Global Investment Strategy from 2005 to 2015. He holds an MA in economics from the Central University of Finance and Economics, was a visiting scholar at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and pursued postgraduate studies with a PhD candidacy at McGill University.

    Ryan Sweet is the Chief Economist | Managing Director at Oxford Economics where he helps shape and coordinate the team’s global economic analysis and forecasting. Previously, Ryan was the Chief US Economist and led a team that was among the most accurate high-frequency forecasters of the economy.

    Prior to joining Oxford Economics, Ryan spent 17 years at Moody’s Analytics as a member of the U.S. macroeconomics team and was also a co-host of the Inside Economics podcast. Ryan has also been an adjunct professor in the Economics and Finance Department at West Chester University of Pennsylvania.

    Ryan received a master’s degree in finance from Johns Hopkins University, a master’s degree in economics from the University of Delaware, and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Washington College.

    David Abramson is the Chief U.S. Strategist & Director of Research with Alpine Macro. For 28 years, David was a Macro Strategist holding a variety of senior roles at BCA Research. Most recently, he was Chief U.S. Strategist and also Director of Research for the firm. During his tenure at BCA Research, David launched and managed the European Strategy and Commodity & Energy Strategy services. In addition, he was the Managing Editor for the Foreign Exchange Strategy and the China Investment Strategy services. He has taught international finance to MBAs at McGill University for 20 years, and is on the Client Committee of the Kenneth Woods Portfolio Management Program at Concordia University.

    Bassam Nawfal is the Chief Asset Allocation Strategist. Prior to joining Alpine Macro, Bassam spent 6 years at PSP Investments, a large Montreal-based pension fund, where he played a key role in launching and managing a dynamic currency and asset allocation strategy. Previously, he had started his career at BCA Research, where he spent 8 years serving in various roles, including as a senior FX strategist. Bassam holds a BComm in finance from Concordia University, as well as the CFA designation.

    Michael Pearce is Chief US Economist at Oxford Economics, based in New York. He leads US macroeconomic research and forecasting, and his team is ranked among Bloomberg’s top forecasters for major US economic indicators. Before joining Oxford Economics, Michael was a senior economist on the US team at Capital Economics and worked at HM Treasury in the UK. He holds degrees in Economic History from the London School of Economics and in Economics from University College London, and has lived and worked in the UK and Switzerland.

    Henry Wu has been an integral member of Alpine Macro since its inception in 2017. He develops and publishes research on quantitative strategies across asset classes, with expertise in asset allocation modeling for equities, bonds, and multi-asset portfolios in both U.S. and global markets. His work focuses on U.S. macro and equity research, and he also conducts the Alpine Macro Investment Survey. Before joining Alpine Macro, Henry spent two years at BCA Research on the emerging markets team. He holds a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo and is a CFA charter holder.

    Mark McClellan is Alpine Macro’s Chief U.S. Bond Strategist. Prior to joining Alpine Macro, Mark was a Senior VP and held numerous key positions during his 23-year career at BCA Research, including Chief Global Fixed Income Strategist. He was instrumental in developing and directing several fixed income publications, including the BCA Global Fixed Income Strategy and the U.S. Bond Strategy services. Mark also covered U.S. asset allocation when he headed the U.S. Investment Strategy service, as well as BCA’s centerpiece publication, the monthly Bank Credit Analyst. Mark began his career as an economist and macro forecaster at the Bank of Canada, and holds a M.A. (Economics) from Western University and a B.A. (Economics) from McMaster University.
