Since joining Oxford Economics Matthew has built on his expertise in economic consultancy,​ developing a specialty in economic impact assessments, cost-benefit analysis and policy development. Currently, Matthew helps lead the EMEA tourism consultancy unit within Oxford Economics.

Matthew has completed a number of tourism impact and policy studies for destinations around the world as well as for discrete parts of the accommodation and aviation sectors. He has also been the lead analyst for the development of a number of tourism satellite accounts and has been heavily involved in our work to assess the total economic value of various cultural and environmental assets.

Previously Matthew worked at KPMG, where he focused on winning and delivering economic consultancy work in key local, national and European markets. Matthew holds a first-class economics degree from the University of Ulster.

Matthew is based in our London office and leads the Business Development team with responsibilities for corporate and government clients in the UK & Ireland. Having joined Oxford Economics in 2015 he has extensive experience and knowledge in building tailored solutions  for clients within both the public and private sectors and has a passion for establishing and maintaining lasting relationships with clients. Matthew holds a degree in Politics and International Relations from the University of Kent. 

Matthew is an Economist within Oxford Economics' Global Industry Service, working on subscription service developments. He is responsible for monitoring and forecasting the construction industry, as well as developments to the forecasting process for the sector. He also works on a variety of bespoke research projects and recurring forecasting projects for clients operating in the construction sector, but also other sectors such as aerospace.

In addition to his work on the GIS, Matthew contributes to Oxford Economics' Global Construction Service and is responsible for the United States Construction Forecasting Service.

He first joined as a placement student in 2020, before returning in 2022 after completing his Economics and Management degree at Loughborough University.

Matthew heads-up the subscriptions sales team in the Middle East and is responsible for strategic and commercial activities across the region. He joined the team in 2021 and is based in our Dubai office. Prior to joining Oxford Economics, Matthew was a Sales Director at Fitch Solutions covering business development across the Middle East having moved to Dubai from London to help set-up their UAE office in 2015. Matthew holds a Master’s degree in Management (with a speciality in International Business) and a Batchelor’s degree in Philosophy, both from the University of Sheffield.

Matt manages a broad spectrum of technology-centric Thought Leadership programs, from cloud and software innovation to how organizations can participate in the metaverse. He has led successful programs for dozens of large organizations during his tenure at Oxford Economics, including SAP, PwC, NTT Data, Accenture, IBM, and EY. Matt’s experience gives him deep knowledge of the ins and outs of successful end-to-end program management, and he is an integral part of the Thought Leadership team.

With the organization since 2015, Matt holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English from The College of New Jersey. He is scheduled to graduate with an MBA in IT and Analytics at the Rutgers School of Business in May, 2023.

Matt joined Oxford Economics' Economic Impact team in 2014. In his time with the company, he has worked on a diverse range of Economic Impact studies, including in the creative industries, tourism and retail sectors.

Between 2019 and 2022, Matt was based in our Singapore office, supporting the development of a specialist Economic Impact team there, before relocating back to London to work in the Economics and Sustainability team. Matt holds both a BSc (Hons) and an MSc (Hons) in Economics, from the University of Bristol.

Max is a Senior Economist in the industry team, based in London. He currently covers the chemical and pharmaceutical sectors. Previously, he has been responsible for consumers goods and information and communication sectors. Max also works on industry model development and various consultancy projects.

He achieved a first-class degree in Economics at the University of Leicester and joined Oxford Economics in July 2019.

Max is based in the London office and supports the Thought Leadership team across business sectors and disciplines. Max graduated from the University of Warwick with a BA in Politics, International Studies and Quantitative Methods and an MSc in Behavioural and Data Science.

Michael is an Economist with a particular focus on the Canadian economy. He primarily supports the Director of Canada Economics in producing macroeconomic research and forecasts, monitoring the Canadian economy, and liaising with clients and the media.

Michael first joined Oxford Economics Canada as an Economic Research Analyst Intern in the Toronto office in early 2019 and has since been promoted to an Economist. Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Financial Management from Wilfrid Laurier University.

Michael Dyer is an Economist in the Building and Construction forecasting unit of Oxford Economics Australia. Working to support the team, Michael is involved in the provision of forecasts across the full building spectrum.

Michael Kleiman is an Associate Director and leads the Macroeconomic Consulting team in North America. Since joining Oxford Economics in 2014 Mike has led a variety of consulting projects, including assessments of trade policy, energy policy, and climate regulation. Mike also led the development of Oxford Economics’ Canadian Provincial and Territorial Model (CPTM), a large-scale, detailed bottom-up model of the Canadian economy covering all thirteen provinces and territories.

Prior to joining Oxford Economics, Mike worked as an economist in the New York representative office of the Banca d'Italia covering macroeconomic, political, and financial system issues in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. He holds a Masters degree in Economics from New York University and a Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering from Tufts University.

Michael Pearce is the Deputy Chief US Economist based in New York City, sharing responsibility for forecasting the US economy and monetary policy. He has a particular focus on the US consumer and inflation. Before joining Oxford Economics, Michael worked for the Treasury in the UK, and was a senior member of the US economics team at Capital Economics for more than a decade, and he lived and worked in the UK, US, and Switzerland during that time. He has a masters degree in economic history from the London School of Economics, and a bachelors degree in economics from University College London.

Currently, Senior Advisor at Oxford Economics, covering UK and global economic issues. Ex-Monetary Policy Committee at Bank of England (2016-22), part of Committee responsible for setting UK monetary policy. UK economist at Citi (1990-2016), where I was also a Managing Director and, from 1997-2016, Head of European Economics. 1988-90, UK economist at Greenwell Montagu, 1986-88 researcher at Institute for Fiscal Studies. Studied econometrics at LSE.

Michael – based in Sydney, Australia – is our Head of APAC Tourism Analysis, working on a combination of subscription products and bespoke consulting projects. Michael contributes to forecasts for travel flows in APAC, analysis trends and developments in the region, and presents our most recent outlook at events and webinars. 

Having worked with Oxford Economics for four years, including in the Oxford and Frankfurt offices, Michael has delivered a variety of projects for clients. These include economic impact analysis for attractions, events and sub-sectors of the tourism industry, custom forecasts and scenarios, and the impact of policies on tourism demand. Prior to joining Tourism Economics, Michael worked at the Reserve Bank of Australia for seven years.  

Michele started working for Oxford Economics in 2015 as Client Services Executive. In this role she supported account managers with administrative functions aimed at retaining clients and growing the business. Her contribution to Oxford Economics Africa’s growth has led to her being promoted to Account Manager in 2022. In her new role she is responsible for all account management activities which include client relationships, secure renewals and growing the book of business.

Since joining Oxford Economics in 2021, Mohammad has worked on several user models and socioeconomic impact studies for clients based in Middle East and Europe. This includes the development of an economic impact tool for a major port in the UAE, the socio-economic impact assessment of the fashion and textile industry, and the economic footprint for an international energy company across UK and Europe.

Before joining Oxford Economics, he was an economist at the Office for National Statistics, with a focus on productivity and firm-level analysis where he co-authored in numerous articles and academic papers. He holds a MSc in Economics at University of Reading.

Morgan works as an Economist, having also previously worked as a Research Assistant, both for the Economic Impact Consulting team. During this time, she has worked on projects ranging from the economic impact of the aviation industry worldwide to the economic impact of BP in the UK.

She also worked as an Analyst in the field of competition economics at Compass Lexecon, specialising in cartel damages, and in the finance department of Hitachi Vantara. She holds a First-Class BSc (Hons) and MPhil in Economics from the University of Surrey and the University of Cambridge respectively.

Mouad El Mansouri works as an Economist at Oxford Economics Canada and is a part of the North American macro consultancy team. Prior to this position, Mouad was working as an Economist at the Global Infrastructure hub in Toronto, Canada.

Neil leads a consultancy team with particular expertise in economic impact analysis, and also economic support for local, city and regional planning.
Neil and his team have extensive experience in both quantitative and qualitative research methods, and work across the UK, but also internationally especially in the Middle East. Neil is a highly experienced project manager and presenter, including providing evidence on planning issues, and often works in partnership with other specialist consultancies.
