ETC tourism trends and prospects: 2021 Q2 webinar

European Tourism Trends & Prospects is a series of quarterly reports that offer a concise analysis of key economic and tourism trends in Europe and in relevant outbound markets. Quarterly reports are meant to provide the know-how necessary to monitor the short-term development of European tourism.

Please note that the webinar is hosted by ETC, with Tourism Economics and UNWTO.

Topic: Tourism Economics will provide an overview of the latest tourism sector trends and outlook in Europe, including a special focus on the prospects for recovery from longer-haul markets. Demand conditions, travel restrictions, sentiment and recovery will be compared for domestic, short-haul and long-haul source markets. Immediate growth prospects by major source market will be described, including differences by route (eg transatlantic vs Europe-Asia flows) as well as the longer-run growth potential.

UNWTO will share the latest tourism trends and outlook, as well as the UNWTO digital tools to support the recovery of tourism through data and market intelligence.

Please note that we will be repeating the same webinar to cater for the difference in time zones between EMEA, the Americas and APAC:

  • EMEA – Wednesday 23rd June | 13:30 BST
  • Americas – Thursday 24th June | 16:00 EDT
  • APAC – Friday 25th June | 10:00 HKT
