Irem is an Economist in the Scenarios and Macro Modelling team. Alongside conducting stress tests and working on bespoke modelling projects for clients, Irem contributes to the production of the firm's Megatrends Scenarios.

Prior to joining Oxford Economics in 2024, Irem worked at Bank of America as an Equity Research analyst, covering the European luxury and retail sectors. Irem holds an MA in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Edinburgh.

Irmgard is the senior financial economist for Africa, and responsible for Oxford Economics Africa’s fixed income and FX coverage for the continent. She joined OEA as a macroeconomist and fixed income analyst from JP Morgan, and has more than a decade’s experience in Africa’s financial markets space.

Jack Reid is a Graduate Economist in the Macro Scenarios and Modelling team based in London. His current role focuses on energy market research and oil and gas price forecasting. He previously worked for Oxford Economics Australia as part of the Macroeconomic Consulting team. He holds a Master’s degree with distinction from the University of Sydney, where he was a class tutor for Introductory Macroeconomics. Jack has a previous internship at Sydney boutique economic consultancy NineSquared.

Jacques manages Oxford Economics Africa's subscription services and oversees regional & thematic research. He also pilots various consulting projects, including the African risk monitoring service.

Jacques has an MCom in Economics from the University of Stellenbosch. He joined the company as a sovereign risk analyst in 2010, focusing on the North African region. In 2016 he took on a new role, in which he oversees our African data and forecasts. As part of this he has improved the macro models of our African countries, developed exchange rate models and conducted scenario analyses.

Jai joined Oxford Economics in 2023 as a graduate in the London office.

Since joining, he has been involved in a variety of bespoke consultancy projects and has produced and supported Economic Impact reports. Such reports include an analysis of the impact of the accountancy profession to the UK economy and an assessment of the impact of lending to UK SMEs through a commercial banking company.

Jai holds a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science. While completing his studies, he undertook an internship at Ernst & Young.

Jake Kuyer is an Associate Director and leads the Economics & Sustainability team within Economic Impact Consulting. He has extensive experience applying economics to challenges around the environment and social impact. He has managed numerous projects across the public, private and third sectors covering a broad range of fields. At Oxford Economics, he works with our economic models, such as our bespoke Global Sustainability Model, to embed sustainability into our offerings. He works with clients to understand both their impact and dependence on the environment, and to achieve their sustainability ambitions.

Prior to Oxford Economics, he worked for a multi-national engineering firm focusing on environmental impact, an economics think tank focusing on social value, and a boutique consultancy specialising in environmental economics. He has earned degrees with distinction from the University of Victoria, Canada, and the University of Edinburgh, UK.

James is a Lead Economist working within the Economic Footprint and Sustainability team of Oxford Economics. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Economics from Newcastle University. For his dissertation, James was awarded the European Award for Aviation Economics by the German Aviation Research Society. Since joining the team in 2016, James has worked on a range of high-profile economic impact studies for clients including the World Brewing Alliance, Airbus, and Sky.

James is the Director of Oxford Economics’ economic consulting services in Asia.

James moved to this role from Oxford Economics’ London office, where he headed up a team dedicated to exploring the economic impact of technology. He delivered high profile studies on the growth of the digital economy, the impact of automation and the implications for the labour market.

Prior to joining Oxford Economics, James spent over six years in the Government Economics Service. He worked in economics teams of the Cabinet Office, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Department for Transport. There, he gained experience in microeconomic analysis and impact assessment as well as international macroeconomics, economic risk analysis and energy security. In the FCO, James spent three years working on economic issues in East and South East Asia. He also previously worked for the International Labour Organization.

James is a Research Manager within the Thought Leadership team and has been with Oxford Economics since November 2020.

James' work mainly covers strategy and operations but also spans projects covering technology and finance for clients such as Accenture, EY, Cognizant, and YouTube.

Prior to joining Oxford Economics, James worked for Walker Books on the other side of the river to our Westminster office, in Vauxhall. James has a BA (Hons) in Economics from the University of Sheffield.

Jamie Snowdon oversees data capture and analysis for Oxford Economics’ Thought Leadership group. Leading a dedicated team, Jamie ensures the provision of robust data input for evidence-based thought leadership programmes, delivering in-depth data analysis, impactful visualisations and intuitive analytical tools.

Jamie joined Oxford Economics in 2022, bringing over 25 years of experience in the IT and Business Services industry. During his career, he has held senior research and management roles at leading technology research companies, including PAC, IDC, HFS Research and Market Prescience. Jamie’s analyst career has largely been spent conducting data analysis, including developing market size/forecast models, conducting quantitative/qualitative survey analysis and performing competitive analysis.

Jamie holds bachelor's degrees in Computer Science and Law.

Jamie is Head of Macro Scenarios. He leads the production of macro-economic scenarios for the Global Scenario Service and is responsible for identifying and writing about key risks to the global economy.

Jamie joined Oxford Economics from the Bank of England, where he worked for 17 years on a range of monetary and financial stability issues to support both the Monetary Policy Committee and the Financial Policy Committee. Most recently, Editor of the Bank’s Financial Stability Report and Financial Stability Papers series, Jamie has written and edited extensively for the Bank’s flagship publications, including the Inflation Report.

Jan Sun is a Senior Economist in the Economic Impact Consulting Team in Continental Europe, based in Berlin, Germany. His work focuses on economic impact and policy impact assessments. He has worked on and led projects in various fields such as creative industries, e-commerce, industrial policy, housing and digital platforms. He has worked with public and private clients, including federal ministries, industry associations and high-profile companies.

Prior to joining Oxford Economics, Jan completed a PhD in economics at the University of Mannheim in 2022. He also holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Mannheim and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Munich. He has previously worked at the University of Mannheim, the University of Munich and as an intern at the German central bank in the financial stability department.

Javier Corominas is Director of Global Macro Strategy at Oxford Economics. He is co-responsible for global strategic asset allocation as well the tactical calls across all asset classes. Additionally, he has a significant focus on providing thematic macro strategy research to generate actionable investment advice for asset allocators, portfolio managers and corporate Treasurers.

Javier is a senior macro and multi-asset investment strategist with over 16 years' experience in active portfolio management as well as in independent macro research.

He has a background in macro-economic modelling and forecasting, portfolio optimization and risk budgeting, asset allocation (SAA and TAA), relative value models and global thematic investment research. This is coupled with a demonstrable track record in drawing conclusions for key asset markets, and developing profitable trade and investment strategies in FX, rates and the liquid asset classes.

Prior to re-joining Oxford Economics, he was a Director and Head of Research at Record Currency Management, one of the largest institutional currency managers in the world, with pension funds, insurance companies, family offices and private equity houses as clients globally.

Javier is regular commentator on currency, fixed income and broader global macro themes in the financial media/press and a regular speaker and presenter at global investment conferences and fora.

Javier holds both a First-Class Degree and an M. Phil in Economics from Cambridge University. He has a keen interest in world history and all manner of racquet sports, and is also fluent in Spanish and French.

Jed Cartledge is a third-year degree apprentice in the Scenarios and Macro Modelling Team. He has contributed to scenario development for the Global Scenarios Service and the new Megatrends service. Previously, he worked in the Macro Eurozone and Industry teams, where he focused on forecasting the aerospace sector and select island economies.

Jee-A is a senior economist at Oxford Economics Africa. He began his career at COFCO International and also worked at Allan Gray. He is responsible for the macroeconomic analysis of South Africa while his insights extend to the broader Southern Africa region. Jee-A holds a master’s degree in risk management.

Jeffrey Klonoski oversees consultancy sales for North America. He works in close collaboration with clients to enhance their public affairs, corporate strategy and thought leadership initiatives via bespoke economic and qualitative analysis.

Jeffrey has over 15 years of experience in research and analytics. His clients include Fortune 500 corporates, global trade groups and intergovernmental organizations. His project experience includes economic and policy impact, trade and excise and supply chain, inflation, future of cities and payments and financial inclusion, as well as a range of other issues. Prior to joining Oxford Economics, he had an eight-year run with an opinion research firm, managing strategic partnerships and doubling as a research director. Jeffrey holds a BBA in Marketing Research from James Madison University.

Jennifer is a Senior Economist within the Scenario and Modelling team, specializing in the development of bespoke client scenarios encompassing both climate-related and broader economic challenges. She plays a key role in building integrated economic models and advancing the capabilities of the Global Economic Model.

Prior to joining Oxford Economics, Jennifer gained valuable experience as an econometric analyst. She holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Westminster and is fluent in both English and Italian
