Job Summary

Oxford Economics, a leading economic research and consultancy firm, is looking to hire a Marketing Manager. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Marketing but will work closely with the Australian leadership team to support the growth of the subscription and consulting business in Australia and New Zealand. They will require excellent communication skills and be well organised, carrying out end-to-end marketing tasks in a professional and efficient manner. This individual will work collaboratively across our global marketing teams including Global Program Management, Portfolio Marketing, Marketing Operations, SEO/SEM.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with the local leadership team to understand and support regional business priorities. 

  • Ensure Oxford Economic Australia’s go to market excellence is underpinned by value creation for customers, contributing commercially to the business unit’s growth drivers and translating our global on and offline strategies to effective regional implementation.
  • Act as the intersection of regional strategy with the Economists, Consulting, Business Development and Marketing leads.
  • Advocate for the defined marketing vision, and support in the delivery of our strategic priorities: digital transformation; brand elevation; market segment growth; competitive positioning and sales enablement.
  • Identify opportunities to continually innovate, refine and improve existing processes to unlock capabilities and elevate the marketing operating model.

Build and deliver annual marketing and PR plans to support Oxford Economics Australia’s key strategic objectives 

  • Create and execute ANZ focused marketing campaigns, utilizing a multi-channel approach to drive top-of-funnel activity; deliver qualified leads and collaborate with sales managers to monitor follow-up.
  • Create regional annual marketing budget proposals, with supporting justification, on-going oversight, tracking, accountability, and reporting.
  • Drive a move away from a historic tactical regional marketing approach to a strategic holistic cross- funnel/whole life cycle focus.
  • Ensure all marketing activities are monitored and measured for their effectiveness. Utilise data and insights to drive performance and ROI.
  • Coordinate with PR firm to cascade PR initiatives from a clearly articulated corporate narrative.
  • Build campaign landing pages – including form and asset download.
  • Create a client newsletter once a quarter to be sent to current, past and prospective clients.
  • Partner with Digital Marketing to maintain drive a content marketing workflow inclusive of social media channels.

Event Management and Coordination 

  • Manage marketing co-ops and collabs with partners and alliances e.g., media partnerships and sponsorships.
  • Own customer and 3rd party regional event and webinar experience and execution.

Coordination with Business Development (BD) 

  • Work with BD partners – both subscription and consulting – on case study sourcing and development.
  • Partner with account management to develop communication strategies for current customer base for up-sell, and cross-sell, retention, and demand generation activities.
  • Define messaging and ensure the creation of sales support material and marketing copy for all deliverables.
Skills and Experience: Required
  • 5-10 years of marketing experience of key message development, audience targeting and utilizing all aspects of the promotional mix across all marketing media.
  • Experience using a Marketing Automation Platform, preferably Pardot.
  • Ability to develop marketing ideas and strategies aligned to sales targets.
  • Ability to collect, analyse and summarise data and to prepare clear and concise reports.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
  • The ideal candidate is organized, accountable, and demonstrates responsibility for meeting deadlines and following through on commitments.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in a business, marketing, communication
