Economist & Senior Economist

BIS Oxford Economics is looking to hire an Economist and a Senior Economist for its fast growing Construction and Infrastructure consulting team.
As an Economist you will ideally have at least 2-3 years experience undertaking and managing high quality industry research and analysis. You will hold a very good economics degree or similar (honours preferred) with a proven record of managing research projects. You will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to identify and respond to client needs. You will understand how infrastructure and construction industry developments are affected by – and impacts – the broader economy and want to take the next steps to become an expert in the field.
As a Senior Economist you will ideally have at least 5 years experience winning, undertaking and managing high quality research and analysis related to infrastructure or construction. You will be known in your field and looking for an opportunity to grow professionally and take a leadership role. You will hold a very good economics degree or similar (honours preferred). You will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, be able to identify and respond to client needs independently or as part of a team and have the experience, capability and drive to grow BIS Oxford Economics’ consultancy work.

Skills and Experience: Required
- Undergraduate degree in Economics or related field (honours preferred)
- You will be comfortable working and liaising with our clients who are typically senior management in large corporations and government organisations locally and globally.
- Must be highly organised and able to manage multiple deliverables at once
- Candidate must have strong numeric, analytical and writing skills
- Must have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Must be a self-starter, with the drive to set and reach ambitious goals
- Must be a team player
Skills and Experience: Desired
- Advanced degree in Economics
- Experience conducting industry or economic research and analysis
- Deep understanding of Australia’s construction and infrastructure markets
