Account Manager, East Coast

Oxford Economics, a leading global economic research and consultancy firm, is looking to hire an Account Manager for the East Coast territory. This person will be responsible for managing Oxford’s subscription clients across the Eastern United States, dealing with client enquiries, retaining subscription revenues, working with the BD team to identify up-sell potential, and increasing usage of Oxford’s services across the client base. 

This position is an integral part of Oxford’s growth plans for the United States and is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing company at the forefront of the industry. The key responsibilities within this role are as follows: 

Account Management
  • Maintain an above-average subscription renewal rate 
  • Meet and exceed territory KPIs 
  • Identify upsell potentials and cancellation risks and help create a territory strategy to manage these renewals 
  • Grow the territory Book of Business on an annual basis
  • Increase usage of the subscription services and grow the existing client user base  
  • Provide training on the services for new users as well as offer regular client updates   
  • Work with the Accounts Department to manage payment and late invoices 
  • Respond timely to any client questions 
  • Become proficient at navigating the OE website and managing client notifications and other delivery options such as API, the OE App and other 3rd Party compatible platforms 
  • Become proficient on Salesforce, using it to track any client interactions, sales, uplifts and cancellations 
  • Become proficient on client usage software for internal reporting and client support 
Sales Support
  • Communicate any cross-sell or up-sell opportunities 
  • Support sales to existing clients of OE subscription services  
  • Work with Marketing to organise client events and webinars 
  • Manage client lists and communicate to clients on upcoming events and webinars 
  • Help organize client meetings as required
Person Specification: Required
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, ideally within a relevant field (economics, business, finance, marketing)  
  • Demonstrated success in and Account Management, Sales or Business Development role, preferably in the research or consulting industry 
  • Strong experience using Salesforce 
  • Must be highly organized and able to manage multiple projects at once 
  • An interest in economics and current affairs 
  • Strong oral and writing skills 
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 
  • Must be a team player
