AfCFTA: A Three Trillion Dollar Opportunity

The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) is a landmark deal that aims to bring together 54 African countries with a combined population of more than one billion people and a combined GDP of over USD 3 trillion.

Slated to take effect in June 2020, the agreement is expected to stimulate intraregional trade flows, address Africa’s industrial deficit, and reduce the continent’s over reliance on primary goods exports.
