ECB minutes confirm a growing split in the council

Today’s release of the minutes from the September ECB meeting confirmed that the council’s primary focus was on the medium-term inflation outlook. Although it was acknowledged that there are no signs of second-round effects to date that would necessitate forceful action, some members voiced their concerns over the excessively easy policy and growing side effects of PEPP.
