FOMC still not thinking about thinking about tapering

As we anticipated, despite faster GDP and employment growth and accelerating inflation, the FOMC is maintaining its extremely dovish forward guidance. Chairman Powell re-emphasized that the pandemic still presents downside risks to the economy, the recovery remains “uneven and incomplete” and the labor market remains far from its pre-pandemic status.
