Lack of supply and high prices weighed on home sales again in March

Existing home sales fell more than expected in March, declining 3.7% to a saar of 6.01mn, the slowest pace of sales since August. Tight inventories and rising home prices, which hit a record in March, continue to constrain sales, particularly to lower and middle-income households.
