Brisbane Commercial Property Prospects 2021-2031

The Brisbane office market correction is mild by comparison with the experience of Sydney or Melbourne. Even so, net absorption has turned negative, vacancy rates have increased and effective rents have fallen. We expect net absorption to turn positive later this year. However, given the quantum of supply over the next couple of years, this won’t prevent vacancy rates rising further, in turn damaging rents.
