Chair Powell puts more focus on job recovery than inflation

Chairman Powell reaffirmed the Fed’s extremely dovish forward guidance. While he was hopeful that improved health conditions and ongoing vaccines will usher a return to “more normal conditions later this year,” he added that the “recovery remains uneven and far from complete, and the path ahead is highly uncertain.”
