October minutes show ECB poised to up stimulus

The minutes of the October ECB meeting confirmed that there is a broad majority within the Governing Council in favour of a new round of easing in December. More recent communication by ECB members point to the view that the positive vaccine news since the meeting took place do not materially affect the need for more easing as the inflation outlook remains depressed.
