Like his former boss, Barack Obama, Joe Biden will be inheriting a damaged economy when he assumes office on January 20. Unlike his predecessor, he is not likely to have as much support in Congress to jump-start growth. The window to pass a fiscal stimulus package is narrowing and its questionable if even expiring special programs to provide aid to unemployed workers will be renewed.
