Vulnerabilities show up in CEE auto sectors

Central and Eastern European economies have relatively large industrial sectors – with automotive manufacturing contributing significantly to output and employment – coupled with export-led growth models. While this has served these countries well in catching-up living standards with Western Europe, it’s also a source of multiple vulnerabilities.
