Sydney Commercial Property Prospects 2020-2030

​Fallout from the coronavirus-induced recession is expected to hit the Sydney office market hard. We anticipate a phase of substantial negative net absorption over the next 12 months, leading to sharply higher vacancy rates and a marked setback to effective rents. Given the quantum of supply under construction and coming on to the market until the middle of 2022, recovery from the market correction is likely to take many years.​
