Thailand: Building and Construction in Thailand 2020-2024: June 2020 Update

​The coronavirus-induced partial lockdowns and curfews are likely to hit the 2020 construction sector significantly. Curfews were lifted, but the construction sector will still have to manage strict social distancing measures as well as a shortage of migrant construction workers and raw building materials. Residential building work done is expected to contract 21.5% y/y (from an earlier forecast of -7.7%), while non-residential is to contract 15.3% y/y (from -9.7%), and that for civil engineering -1.9% y/y (from +6.5%).​
