Sydney Industrial Property Prospects 2020-2030

The Sydney industrial property market was performing strongly before the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, it faces significant challenges, and vacancy rates are set to rise to decade-high levels as net absorption slumps. But we do not anticipate substantial oversupply or a major correction to effective rents. Industrial occupier demand is seemingly relatively resilient, while supply can adjust fairly rapidly to changed circumstances. We expect medium to longer term investment performance to be solid.
