Governments across the GCC have implemented fiscal and monetary support to ward off the economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic. With the exception of Bahrain, however, the fiscal measures have been limited, amounting to only around 0-1.5% of GDP. They have also been primarily focused on reducing costs for business through reduced fees and tax holidays, with limited employment and social support.
