Melbourne Commercial Property Prospects 2019-2029

The Melbourne CBD office market continues to perform strongly. Net absorption in 2018 was the strongest since 2007 and the CBD vacancy rate fell to a decade-low 3.2% at year end. Rents posted further gains in H2 and yields firmed to new lows (yet again) thanks to strong investor interest, boosting capital values. However, the upswing is far from over, with strong gains to come before an expected market peak in 2024.
