Global credit conditions diverge further

The divergence in global credit conditions we noted earlier this year has become more marked. Our measure of global standards continued to ease in Q3 but only due to loosening standards in the US. A more granular look at the data shows divergence within the G7 and a relatively unfavourable picture in emerging markets (EM). Financial turmoil in Q4 could worsen the outlook.
