(Please note we will be open for applications between 5th February and 21st March 2018)
Oxford Economics offers economics students the opportunity to join us for a summer internship lasting between four and eight weeks. During this time you will conduct and deliver a research project on a data or modelling-based economics topic set by us. Your work will be largely self-directed with some guidance available. The results of the project could be used in a client report, our Global Economic Model or published as part of our Global Macro Service. You will take real responsibility from day one, and we will ensure that you learn about working as a professional economist at Oxford Economics.
There are up to four positions available across our Macroeconomic and Investor Services, Cities and Regions, and Economic Consultancy teams. The successful candidates could be based in Oxford or London, subject to individual preference, and will receive the National Living Wage.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for highly capable, self-driven individuals with plenty of initiative and a mature approach. Candidates should be studying economics or a closely related subject and have a keen interest in working as a professional economist.
Applications are welcome from both graduate students and undergraduates in the penultimate year or final year of their degree programme.
Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate their ability to work independently and to contribute to a team. Excellent written communication in English is essential.
You must have the right to work in the UK.

The next Summer Internship Scheme will take place between June and August 2018.

We regret that we are unable to offer internships or accept applications outside these times.
